EMMA JUNE JONES

Emma June Jones (b. 2000) is an artist from Chicago, IL, currently residing and working in New York, NY. She graduated in 2023 with a BFA in Illustration and a minor in Art History from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Jones focuses on distorted figure paintings made in oil, examining the internal battles young women face in today’s social and political climate. Her paintings mold bodies in a collapsed space while emphasizing the external environment, fashion, and symbolism to reflect contemporary issues. Her work has been seen in the group shows, Through Thought, :iidrr Gallery, My Need for Tender Loving and Care, All Street Gallery, NY, Sanctuary, Galerie Shibumi, Emerging as we Disappear, Karen Weber & Astor Place and notable solo shows include, Amend, Sobremesa Wine Bar, Savannah, GA.
